I`m surprised this has`nt been posted up already - taken into account the amount of Sonic Youth heads on thumped...

"Sonic Youth will perform two shows with the Iggy and the Stooges. The original Stooges permanently scarred music from 1967- 1973. The reunited Stooges- Iggy Pop, Ron Ashton, Scott Ashton, and Mike Watt, delivered a pummeling set which was the uncontested toast of the Coachella festival in California in April.

August 8 finds the two bands at Jones Beach in NY.
August 14: DTE Energy Music Theatre, Detroit."

Iggy & Co. are going to be recording a new album too - the firts one since Funhouse 33 yersss a-go.
